The player had rejected a new contract offer, is in the final year of his deal, and journalist Alan Nixon has reported that Blackburn are now willing to sell him. According to Nixon, Arsenal plan to work quickly to finalize a deal and hope to agree on a fee of around £2 million plus extras.
