According to Tuttomercato, Ibrahim Sulemana has transferred from Atalanta BC to Cagliari Calcio. Cagliari Calcio announced the acquisition of the sporting rights of Ibrahim Sulemana, who moves from Atalanta BC on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season with an option to buy. Atalanta confirmed that the transfer of Ibrahim Sulemana Kakari to Cagliari Calcio is on a temporary basis until June 30, 2026, with an option for a permanent acquisition.
Tuttomercato reports that Ibrahim Sulemana will return to Cagliari from Atalanta via Bologna on a loan deal that includes an option to buy.
According to Tuttomercato, Cagliari is nearing the finalization of the return of Ibrahim Sulemana, who is departing from Bologna after receiving limited playing time. Cagliari is in advanced discussions with Atalanta and Bologna in a three-party negotiation; Atalanta formally owns Sulemana's registration. Bologna has not opposed the player's departure. The move will be another temporary arrangement, with a purchase option included under the same conditions as the previous agreement. The purchase option fee may be slightly lower than the 11 million euros agreed upon by Atalanta and Bologna last summer.
According to Tuttomercato, Cagliari is pursuing Ibrahim Sulemana and has initiated contacts with both Bologna and Atalanta for a loan deal. Sulemana was acquired by Bologna from Atalanta late in the summer transfer window on a loan with an option to buy set at 11 million euros. The midfielder previously played for Cagliari for one season before being sold to Atalanta for 7.4 million euros in the summer of 2024, after being purchased a year earlier for 4 million euros.
Ibrahim Sulemana, a former player for Cagliari, is once again attracting interest from the club. Cagliari is leveraging its positive relationship with Atalanta in an attempt to arrange a loan transfer for the Ghanaian midfielder, who was born in 2003. Sulemana is anticipated to leave Bergamo in search of more playing time, with a loan move being the most probable course of action. Although Cagliari is eager to re-sign him, they are facing competition from other Serie A teams, including Parma, who are actively seeking to finalize a deal, and Sassuolo. Cagliari is hopeful that their strong ties with Atalanta will provide them with an advantage in obtaining Sulemana's services. His contract with Atalanta is due to expire on June 30, 2028, and Transfermarkt currently values him at €7.00m.
