Tuttomercato reports that Federico Bonazzoli has chosen not to move to Cagliari and will instead remain at Cremonese. Per Bonazzoli's statement, Cagliari in Serie A showed interest in him, but he rejected the move so he could stay at Cremonese and remain close to his family.

According to Tuttomercato, Cagliari would have acquired Federico Bonazzoli from Cremonese as part of a potential transfer triangle. The transfer was not completed as the related transfers connected to Shpendi's departure from Cesena were unsuccessful.

Nicolo Schira reports that Cagliari is pursuing Federico Bonazzoli from Cremonese. The 29-year-old Italian centre-forward joined Cremonese in August 2024 and is under contract until June 2028.
