Greek journalist Nikos Toskitsis reported that Slavia Prague is interested in acquiring 25-year-old Norwegian midfielder Hugo Vetlesen as a replacement for Christos Zafeiris, who is on the verge of being sold to PAOK. Club Brugge had paid 7.75 million euros for Vetlesen's transfer in 2023, but he has not lived up to expectations. Initially, Vetlesen played as a starter on the right flank for Club Brugge, but his playing opportunities have decreased following the arrival of new players such as Carlos Forbs, Ludovit Reis, and Aleksandar Stankovic. As the club continues to seek additional wingers, his chances have further dwindled, making a move to Slavia Prague a feasible option to rejuvenate his career. Vetlesen's contract with the Belgian club is valid until June 2027, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00 million.
