Several sources indicate that Czech Republic centre-forward Daniel Vašulín is considered by Slavia Praha as the primary candidate to replace Tomáš Chorý. Football insider Jan Vacek stated in the podcast 'Kudy běží zajíc' that Vašulín is currently Slavia's top choice, and that the club is reportedly interested because he has a proven record in the Czech league, is a similar type of player to Chorý, and has better speed. Former coach František Komňacký said he would not be surprised if Vašulín moved to Slavia in the winter, though he also noted that the demands on a striker are much higher at a top club and that the player is already 28 years old. Vašulín signed a multi-year contract with Zbrojovka Brno in the summer, and the club's general director, Jan Mynář, has stated that they are not required to sell their key players at any price. Mynář added that an offer of three million euros is not regarded as exceptional, as a replacement would cost a minimum of two million euros. Vašulín has one cap for Czechia, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €900k.
