Harry Clarke Transfer from Ipswich Town to Sheffield United

Sheffield United, where Harry Clarke spent the second half of last season on loan, had shown interest in his return. However, Sheffield United are no longer interested after adding Wolves right-back Ki-Jana Hoever on loan yesterday.

There is an expectation that Harry Clarke could move from Portman Road to Bramall Lane this January, which would be the second successive winter window that the Blades have pursued the 24-year-old. It has been reported in the weeks leading up to the January window opening that right-back is a priority position for Sheffield United this month.

Sheffield United decided to sign Harry Clarke from Ipswich Town on loan. Clarke, who is recovering from two Achilles tendon surgeries, needs game time, which he will get at Sheffield United. The move comes as Sheffield United's alternative plan after their attempt to sign Jonjoe Kenny from Hertha BSC fell through due to disagreements over the transfer fee. Clarke's arrival is intended to bolster their squad as they push for promotion.
