Guillaume Restes, Toulouse's 21-year-old French goalkeeper, has been extensively assessed by Leeds United's recruitment department as part of a significant change to their goalkeeping options. The club is seeking to recruit two goalkeepers, including a new first-choice. Restes is one of several players being considered; Manchester City's James Trafford has also been discussed internally and Brighton's Carl Rushworth is another contender. Restes joined Toulouse in July 2023, has a contract with the club until 2028, and has been capped 19 times for France at U21 level. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €18.00m. Several other clubs, including Aston Villa, Napoli and Ipswich Town, have also been linked with him.
