According to his agent Luis Grillo, Argentine goalkeeper Guido Herrera, 34, has communicated his intention to emigrate to Jorge Sampaoli, and the coach gave his approval. Luis Grillo stated that he has an offer that will be delivered to the club on letterhead. He said they will surely reach an agreement, because a conversation took place in which it was understood that Herrera's time at the club is complete. Grillo added that the idea is for Herrera to leave on good terms. He also stated that he knows a team from Argentina wants the player, but they have not spoken with him. Herrera joined CA Talleres in January 2016 and his contract expires in December 2026. He has made 16 appearances in the domestic league in the 2025/2026 season and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.50m.
