Guéla Doué Transfer from Strasbourg to Chelsea

Chelsea are hoping to sign Guela Doue during the January transfer window. According to Football Insider, Chelsea are front-runners to complete the deal because both clubs are owned by BlueCo. Pete O’Rourke claimed that Chelsea are probably the frontrunners due to their relationship with Strasbourg. O’Rourke also stated that a deal for Doue would probably cost between £20-25 million in his current form, adding that since he is under contract with the French club until 2029, they are under no real pressure to sell him at the moment. The report claims that a deal could be done for a fee of around £20-25 million.

Chelsea is currently considered the favorite to sign Guéla Doué due to its links with Strasbourg via BlueCo, but the signing is not yet secured.

Chelsea are interested in signing Guela Doue from RC Strasbourg. The club's shared parent company with Strasbourg could give them an advantage in securing the transfer. The opportunity to join Chelsea will be attractive for the player. Chelsea needs to add more quality and depth to the defensive unit, and Doue would be a long-term acquisition. Pete O’Rourke stated that Chelsea are also interested in him.

It is reported that Chelsea are interested in signing Strasbourg full-back Guela Doue and have a strong interest in the 23-year-old. Due to shared ownership, the club could have an advantage over other clubs in pursuing Doue. BlueCo owns both Chelsea and Strasbourg, which could make a potential move between the two clubs easier. The opportunity to play in the Premier League is presented as an exciting one for Doue, and it is stated he would welcome the opportunity to join the London club.

According to CaughtOffside, Guela Doué is attracting interest from several English clubs, but Chelsea is reportedly the frontrunner to sign the player. Chelsea sent scouts to France on October 17 to observe the player during the match between Strasbourg and PSG. Guela Doué earns an annual salary of 900,000 euros.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are interested in making Strasbourg right-back Guela Doue their first signing of the January transfer window. Enzo Maresca’s side have watched Doue play throughout the 2025-26 campaign and have reportedly identified him as a possible January signing, despite the presence of Reece James, Malo Gusto and Josh Acheampong. The Ligue 1 side are expected to demand a transfer fee of more than €30 million for Doue, who joined the club from Stade Rennais for €6m last year.

According to TBR Football, Chelsea sent scouts to observe Strasbourg's 3-3 draw with PSG on Friday, where Ivorian defender Guela Doué, 23, and striker Joaquín Panichelli both impressed Chelsea's representatives. His contract with the French club runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €18 million. In addition to Chelsea's interest, the player has also been linked with Milan.
