Griffin Yow Transfer from Westerlo to Club Brugge
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Club Brugge have recently inquired about the possibility of a free transfer for Griffin Yow in the summer. The 23-year-old American's contract with Westerlo concludes next summer, and Club Brugge would want to sign him then to avoid paying a transfer fee. Yow wants to leave KVC Westerlo during the current window and hopes to get a place on the US national team for the World Cup. A foreign offer has recently been received, according to the newsroom.
Voetbalnieuws.be reports that Yow is on the shortlist at Club Brugge. While many clubs showed interest in previous transfer windows, they never proceeded with a transfer, and for now, that is also not the case.
Griffin Yow, who caught the attention of Club Brugge last summer, is attracting interest from Belgian clubs should his contract not be extended. Westerlo is making efforts to extend Yow's contract, which is set to expire next summer, and initial discussions have commenced. If they come to an agreement, Yow will continue with Westerlo next season. However, if the extension falls through, a summer transfer might be possible, with interest coming not only from Club Brugge and other Belgian clubs but also from teams in the Netherlands and the English Championship. Yow's market value has risen significantly from the 90,000 euros that Westerlo paid to acquire him from DC United in 2022, and it is now estimated at 3.5 million euros.
