Gonzalo García Transfer from Real Madrid to Rangers
Rangers are unlikely to sign 21-year-old Spanish centre-forward Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid on a permanent basis in January, but a loan agreement could be an option if they decide to pursue the player. Garcia has been linked with a temporary move away from the Spanish club, where his opportunities have been limited to just three starts this season following Kylian Mbappe's return to fitness; in 13 LaLiga appearances in the 25/26 season, he has not registered a goal or an assist. Other clubs, including Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Leeds, are also reportedly considering a potential loan deal for the forward. Garcia, who has 5 caps and 3 goals for Spain U21, is under contract until 2030 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €15.00m. An asking price of around €20 million was reported in November 2025, while a valuation of €35-40 million was mentioned in connection with a potential swap deal in December 2025.
