The Scottish Premiership is another potential option for George Edmundson.

A transfer to another club in the second tier may currently be unlikely for George Edmundson. He might therefore need to consider a move to League One if he leaves Middlesbrough in the next few months. He would be a useful acquisition for a club in that division as he is experienced.

English centre-back George Edmundson, 28, had a difficult second season at Middlesbrough, making only seven appearances after joining the club in January 2025. With a year left on his contract, Middlesbrough are likely to attempt to transfer him. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €600k.
