Croatian centre-forward Franko Kovačević is not enthusiastic about a transfer to Hungary, despite initial interest from Ferencváros and Újpest. It was reportedly more likely that he would move to Ferencváros. Győri ETO is also interested in Kovačević, as are French club Nice and Italian side Pisa, which have shown significant interest. Kovačević would prefer a move to a top league. The asking price for the 26-year-old forward has reportedly increased from an initial 3 million euros to 4 million euros. Kovačević joined NK Celje in July 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2028. In 11 Prva Liga appearances this season, he has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. He has one cap for the Croatia U21 team, and his current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.30m.
