Spanish midfielder Fran Álvarez, 27, has signed a new contract with Widzew Łódź, extending his commitment until the middle of 2028, with an option for a further 12 months. The club's director, Niko, deemed the extension important as Álvarez is regarded as a key player for the project. The player himself stated that he is happy at the club and had no plans to depart. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €1.00m.
