The player does not have a release clause in his contract, which is valid until June 2029. Separate reports have valued him at between €50-€60million. A January move seems unlikely as the 19-year-old’s major ambition is to secure a place in Germany’s World Cup squad and he desires continuity at club level. Should his form continue and his reputation grow at the World Cup, United could increase their interest with concrete offers in the summer. Man Utd were also actively pursuing him in October 2023.
