During the summer, Manchester United made enquiries about the 23-year-old Argentine winger Giuliano Simeone, and Manchester City also approached Atletico Madrid at that time. Tottenham Hotspur have explored a move in recent months. However, Atletico Madrid were not very interested in a sale and clarified that they had no intention of approving the forward's departure. It is also understood that the player is happy in the Spanish capital, where he plays for his father, and is not actively seeking to leave. According to Madrid sources, Simeone is considered a very trusted member of the squad whose commitment is highly valued by the club. Simeone has 17 caps for Argentina, is under contract until 2030, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €40.00m. After a contract renewal in January 2026, his release clause was reportedly set at €500 million.
