According to Sportbladet's information, a club in one of the top five leagues in Europe wants to buy the 28-year-old Croatian defender and has made a first offer to AIK. AIK is aware of the interest in Benkovic. Previously, the sports management was clear that Benkovic would stay for the season, but AIK's exit from European competition might affect the potential deal. AIK reportedly rejected the club's first offer, but a second offer might come soon.
