La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Bournemouth had shown interest in Federico Gatti during the summer. A departure during the winter transfer window is a possibility if his situation does not improve.

Bournemouth has expressed interest in Federico Gatti as a potential replacement for Huijsen, having previously shown interest in the player. Gatti, whose contract with Juventus extends until June 2028, is valued at approximately 30 million euros. His current salary stands at 1.5 million euros, with the potential to rise to 2 million euros with bonuses. Although Juventus intends to retain Gatti, negotiations have hit a roadblock due to his inconsistent performances under Thiago Motta. Bournemouth, keeping a close watch on the developments, perceives Gatti as a versatile defender capable of adapting to various tactical systems, which could make him a valuable acquisition at the right price. Despite interest from Napoli and Newcastle, Bournemouth's requirement to replace Huijsen might hasten their pursuit of Gatti.
