Fabio Chiarodia has extended his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until June 30, 2028. The extension was announced today. Sporting director Rouven Schröder stated that Chiarodia is a young defender with enormous potential, which he has already demonstrated with the club and the Italian national team. Schröder added that Chiarodia must now complete the process of establishing himself at the highest level and that the club wants to support him in this. According to the sporting director, the renewal comes from the mutual belief that the next important step in Chiarodia's career will be in Mönchengladbach. Fabio Chiarodia stated that he clearly felt the trust of the club after his injury last season. Chiarodia added that he had very positive discussions with Eugen Polanski and Rouven Schröder where they spoke openly about their plans for the future, and this is why he decided to continue and extend his time with the club.
