According to Anthony Joseph, while Everton was one of several clubs interested in Manchester United's English striker Ethan Wheatley this summer, Lincoln City are now set to sign the 20-year-old. It is understood that the clubs have agreed on a straight season-long loan deal for the player. Wheatley has been capped three times for England's U20 team and his contract at Manchester United runs until 2028. Last season, he scored 10 goals in 18 appearances in Premier League 2 and also made three appearances in the Premier League.
