Ermin Mahmić is of interest to the Belgian side Union St-Gilloise, Club Brugge, the German outfit Schalke, and the French club Toulouse. Interest in the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has increased due to his impressive displays for Slovan Liberec last season and for Bosnia at the World Cup. However, it is reported that Celtic are nearing an agreement for the player. Celtic have held talks with the Czechia club, and it is thought that a fee of £8.5 million would be sufficient to complete the signing. It is said that Slovan have accepted they will lose Mahmić, who has reportedly returned to the club to say his goodbyes. Mahmić joined Slovan Liberec in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2029. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €7.00m. It was reported earlier in the summer that Slovan Liberec's asking price for interested German clubs was over €10 million, while in August, reports cited a range of €7-8 million.
