Erik Janža, a 32-year-old Slovenian left-back from Górnik Zabrze, is reportedly on the wish list of Widzew Łódź. Bartłomiej Stańdo suggested Widzew should focus on acquiring the best players from the Ekstraklasa instead of spending significant money on ineffective foreign transfers. Stańdo clarified that while he had heard from a couple of sources that Janža's name was on the list, this was not official transfer news and no negotiations were taking place. He described Janža as a combative player of very good quality and the type of footballer he would like to see at the club. However, a move for the Górnik player to another team within the Ekstraklasa is considered unlikely. Janža joined the club in July 2019 and his contract is valid until June 2027.
