Beşiktaş has reportedly initiated efforts to sign Cagliari's goalkeeper Elia Caprile. The transfer effort is said to be part of the club's planning based on a list provided by new head coach Vincenzo Italiano. It is also mentioned that Italiano highly regards the 24-year-old Italian player and had wanted to transfer him to Bologna during the previous season. Caprile joined Cagliari in July 2025 and is contracted until 2029. He made 38 appearances in Serie A last season and has also been linked with other clubs in Italy, including Juventus and Inter. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €15.00m. Reports from April 2026 suggested a valuation of around €30 million, while Cagliari's asking price was reportedly €25 million in November 2025.
