Widzew Łódź and Wieczysta Kraków both attempted to sign Efthymios Koulouris. Piotr Koźmiński from Goal.pl reported that the contract proposals for Koulouris from Wieczysta and Widzew Łódź differed by about 30 percent, with Wieczysta's offer being the higher one. Widzew Łódź decided not to increase their offer. A decision was made in Łódź not to make such costly moves regarding the Greek player.

Widzew Łódź had been pursuing Efthymios Koulouris, a 30-year-old Greek centre-forward, for several days. The club attempted to convince the former Ekstraklasa top scorer with a substantial salary and appeared to have increased their offer. While the proposed salary was good, it was not at the level of what he earned in Saudi Arabia. Ultimately, the player is set to join Wieczysta Kraków. Mateusz Miga also reported this move. The Kraków club was able to guarantee him even better terms, and their offer could be a record-breaking salary. Koulouris has made 18 appearances for the Greek national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.80m.
