Éderson Transfer from Atalanta to FC Barcelona
André Cury advised Barcelona to sign Ederson, stating that Ederson is a physical player who is highly adaptable to Barcelona's system.
Representative André Cury has discussed a potential move to Barcelona for Éderson, noting he has close contacts at the club. Finding a new team for the player on a bigger stage than Atalanta appears to be the primary motivation. Speaking to Cadena SER, Cury said it is an opportunity because Éderson's contract is expiring and that Atalanta has not wanted to sell him despite receiving very high offers. He thinks the transfer will be completed in the winter or summer window. Cury added that Atalanta were asking for between €60 million and €75 million, but because the player is close to the end of his contract, his price could be reduced by half to between €30 million and €40 million.
90min reports on Liverpool's interest in signing Atalanta midfielder Ederson, joining a competitive race with Man Utd, Newcastle United, and Barcelona. Liverpool have joined Man Utd, Newcastle United and Barcelona in pursuit of Atalanta midfielder Ederson. His contract expires in 2026, potentially forcing the club to listen to offers.
Ederson is being eyed by Barcelona. The Brazilian midfielder rose to prominence during Atalanta's successful UEFA Europa League campaign last season. Barcelona are continuing to battle financial struggles, having only just about been able to register Dani Olmo for the first half of the 2024/25 La Liga season.
Ederson has been consistently followed by Barcelona for months, both in internal games at the Gewiss Stadium and away. The blaugrana club has initiated the first contacts with the player's agents to understand what the intentions are for the next season. Ederson in Bergamo and with Gasperini is wonderful but the call from Barcelona certainly does not leave him indifferent.
