FC Porto is competing with VfB Stuttgart for VfL Wolfsburg's 21-year-old German-Montenegrin striker, Dženan Pejčinović. The Portuguese club offered 23 million euros for the player, but Wolfsburg rejected the bid as too low. Wolfsburg reportedly seeks 25 million euros for the DFB U21 international. Despite the rejection, Porto remains interested and believes a deal can be made. Two weeks ago, Stuttgart had an 18 million euro offer rejected and is now preparing a new offer of 22 million euros, a sum which has been approved by their supervisory board. However, the player has a strong preference for a move to Stuttgart. Pejčinović joined Wolfsburg in July 2022, and his contract is valid until 2029. In the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, he scored 8 goals in 35 appearances. His current Transfermarkt market value is €15.00m. In June 2026, Wolfsburg also reportedly rejected a €15 million offer from SC Freiburg.
