Nevertheless, Turgeman reportedly favors a move to Rangers and has communicated to Maccabi Tel Aviv that the Scottish Premiership is his preferred destination. The transfer is currently paused as Rangers are required to sell either Cyriel Dessers or Hamza Igamane before they can make an official offer. It is reported that Igamane is nearing a transfer to Lille, which could facilitate Rangers' acquisition of Turgeman. Rangers’ new American owners, 49ers Enterprises, are said to have been long-term admirers of the 21-year-old, having previously made an attempt to bring him to Leeds United.
