Dael Fry Transfer from Middlesbrough to Birmingham City

43m ago

No new agreement could be reached between Dael Fry and Middlesbrough after his contract expired. Middlesbrough wanted Fry to stay and there were negotiations over a new contract, but the two parties disagreed on the terms. Fry wanted a deal that reflected his importance and quality, but the club was reluctant to offer too high a wage due to his struggles with injuries in recent seasons. Fry, who was injury-free from November onwards last season, had hoped to stay at Middlesbrough. His previous deal included a 12-month extension clause if promotion was achieved, but this was not activated.
