FC Augsburg exercised the purchase option for Chrislain Matsima for five million euros, an option which had been agreed with AS Monaco. Matsima, who had initially joined the club on loan in summer 2024, extended his contract by one year until 2030.

According to 'Sport Bild', the management plans to convince the 23-year-old central defender to extend his contract, which is already dated until 2029, as quickly as possible.
