Chris Ramos joined Botafogo in August 2025 on loan from Cádiz, Spain, following a request from the Rio de Janeiro club's former coach, Davide Ancelotti. Botafogo had initially wanted to sign the player permanently, but Cádiz only agreed to a one-year loan. This agreement included a potential transfer fee of up to 3.5 million euros, valued at R$ 22.2 million at the time. The deal stipulated the move would become permanent if Ramos played 90 minutes. He met this condition in 2025 during his second match for the club against Vasco. The loan agreement is valid until June 30, 2026.
