Club Brugge is reportedly among several clubs, including Leverkusen and Marseille, interested in Wolfsberger AC's 22-year-old midfielder Chibuike Nwaiwu, who is considered a sought-after player in the Austrian Bundesliga this winter. The Turkish side Trabzonspor is currently showing the most persistent interest in the Nigerian and has apparently submitted an offer. WAC's club boss, Dietmar Riegler, had previously said that he had expected Nwaiwu to depart last summer. Nwaiwu joined Wolfsberger in September 2024, has a contract until June 2027 and has made 12 appearances in the league this season. His current Transfermarkt market value is €6.00m. In recent months, Wolfsberger AC's asking price for the player was reportedly €10 million. Trabzonspor is said to have made a formal offer of €6 million.
