Crystal Palace are willing to loan out centre-back Chadi Riad for more game time. Sheffield United is reportedly the leading club to sign him. The 22-year-old holds Moroccan and Spanish citizenship and joined Palace in the summer of 2024 for a fee reported to be £14 million. He has recently returned from an ACL injury and may find it difficult to get minutes with the senior team, despite fellow defender Marc Guehi's move to Manchester City. Riad, who has two caps for Morocco, is thought to be interested in a move to the Championship club, as regular playing time could help his chances of being selected for this summer's World Cup. He was on loan at Real Betis for the 2023/24 season, where he made 26 appearances in the Spanish top flight. His contract with the club is valid until June 2029. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €12.00m. This season, he has made one appearance in Premier League 2 and has not yet played for the senior team.
