Amid a lack of consistent playing time at Torino under manager Baroni, there were reports of a potential transfer for 23-year-old Italian central midfielder Cesare Casadei to PSV Eindhoven. However, after scoring two consecutive goals, the player was no longer considered for a transfer. Casadei stated that he does not follow market rumors and remains focused on his current club. In the current Serie A season, he has made 18 appearances, scoring two goals. Alongside PSV, Villarreal and Fiorentina have also been associated with the player. Casadei joined Torino from Chelsea in February 2025 for a fee that was reported to be between €13 million and €15 million, and his contract runs until 2029. He has not yet played for the senior Italy national team and has a current market value of €14.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
