Carlos Romero is currently on loan at RCD Espanyol from Villarreal until the end of the season. Espanyol is considering retaining him beyond June 30, when his loan expires. Carlos previously declined significant offers to join Espanyol, where he has become a key player under Manolo González.

Carlos Romero has options in Germany, having attracted interest there before as well.
