Cameron Archer Transfer from Southampton to Norwich City
English forward Cameron Archer, 24, could leave Southampton before the winter transfer window closes after receiving limited game time this season, having played just over 600 minutes in the Championship. According to Alex Crook via X, Southampton are prepared to let either Archer or Adam Armstrong depart as interest in both players increases, and the club is also reportedly seeking a new centre-forward. Norwich City considers Archer a potential alternative if Josh Sargent, who has reportedly sought a move to Toronto FC, leaves and a deal for Kasper Hogh fails. According to Fabrizio Romano, Norwich has made an €8 million bid for the Bodo/Glimt striker. Middlesbrough and Preston North End have also been identified as other possible destinations for the player. Archer joined the Saints in a reported £15 million deal, has 11 caps and 6 goals for England U21, and is under contract until June 2028. His current market value is €10.00m, according to Transfermarkt. A fee between £15 million and £20 million was expected to convince Southampton to sell, according to reports from February 2025.
