Branimir Mlačić, an 18-year-old Croatian centre-back, did not attend Hajduk's training session because of his departure from the club to join Genoa. A previously agreed deal with Inter was prolonged and then seemingly abandoned following a change in the player's manager. According to reports, the proposed transfer to Inter was valued at €5-€5.5 million plus bonuses, while other reports suggested Hajduk could receive between €5.5 million and €8 million.
