Westerlo has signed Hungarian defender Botond Balogh from Parma, a club in the Italian top flight. Balogh, who is 24 years old and has eight international caps, developed at MTK Budapest before his move to Italy. During his time at Parma, Balogh made 73 appearances for the first team, 32 of which were in Serie A. The defender will sign a contract with Westerlo until mid-2030. Foreign sources have reported that the deal has been agreed. The deal is expected to be officially announced soon. Westerlo sought to add defensive reinforcements and experience to their squad.
