Initially, Maarten Martens prevented the transfer, but after his departure as AZ manager, a potential move to PEC Zwolle is possible. Billy van Duijl joined AZ from FC Volendam in the summer of 2024 and has mainly played for Jong AZ, making two appearances for the first team.
