Left winger Biel, whose contract with Sporting runs until 2029, has traveled to Saudi Arabia for medical examinations ahead of a loan signing for Al-Shabab. Al-Shabab is currently 14th in the Saudi Pro League. The 24-year-old is moving on loan again after not adapting to Rui Borges' team at Sporting. At Sporting, he played in seven matches and made one start, which was in the second leg of a Champions League playoff in Dortmund. The coach selected non-regular players for that match because the tie was already decided. After his time at Sporting, Biel was loaned to Atletico Mineiro in Brazil. His performance there, with 1 goal and 2 assists in 24 games, was deemed to be below the Brazilian club's expectations. The transfer to Al-Shabab will be his third period playing for a club outside of Brazil, after previous spells with STK Samorin in Slovakia and with Sporting.
