Berkan Kutlu Transfer from Galatasaray to Espanyol

Fanatik reports on Espanyol's interest in Berkan Kutlu and their attempts to secure a deal with Galatasaray. Espanyol showed interest in Berkan Kutlu and proposed a loan deal with a purchase option of 2 million Euros, which Galatasaray rejected. Espanyol then updated their offer to a 1 million Euro transfer fee, which was also rejected. Galatasaray is looking for a fee in the range of 3-4 million Euros for Berkan Kutlu.

Espanyol has identified 27-year-old Berkan Kutlu as an ideal candidate to bolster their midfield, a position that has been a concern for the team since the loss of key players. The club initially proposed a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option for the Swiss-born Turkish international. However, Galatasaray turned down this offer, insisting on a transfer fee of 4.5 million euros. Although Kutlu was mainly used as a substitute last season, he played in 42 matches across various competitions and is contracted until 2026. Espanyol's sporting director, Fran Garagarza, emphasized the need for a 'centrocampista con pata', underscoring Kutlu's potential significance to the squad. According to Transfermarkt, Kutlu's current market value is €3.20 million, and there are reports linking him with the Turkish club Kocaelispor as well.
