Ben Davies Transfer from Rangers to Oxford United
Daily Record reports on Ben Davies' recent loan transfer to Oxford United. Ben Davies has completed a loan switch to Oxford United. He is in the final 12 months of his contract with Rangers and will spend this season with Oxford United in the Championship. This move signals the end of his spell at Ibrox. Davies was also wanted by QPR and for a second spell with Birmingham but chose Oxford.
Reports state that Oxford United is battling for a deal with Ben Davies after his talks with Birmingham City collapsed. The Lancashire Post has indicated that Preston North End is also in contention for signing the 30-year-old English defender, who has not been able to secure a place under Russell Martin at Rangers. With his potential return to Birmingham City no longer viable, the focus has shifted to Oxford United and Preston North End, both keen to acquire his services. The player's contract at Rangers runs until June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.50m.
