Bastien Donio, a 19-year-old footballer from Bourg-en-Bresse, a French third-division club, has been signed by Górnik Zabrze, the 14-time champions of Poland. The transfer, which was executed unexpectedly, remained confidential until it was announced on a Tuesday afternoon. Donio has committed to a contract that extends until June 30, 2028. According to Górnik Zabrze's sporting director, Łukasz Milik, there was an intention to sign Donio earlier; however, they opted to allow him to complete the season at his current club, as it was his inaugural season in senior football where he participated in 32 matches. They have been impressed with his performances, having observed him live on multiple occasions, and are confident that he will enhance the team's midfield by introducing competition and displaying his abilities on the pitch.
