Axel Disasi Transfer from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have checked on Axel Disasi's availability, and it is understood that their interest is genuine. The German club is exploring defensive reinforcements as they plan for the second half of the season and beyond, and Disasi's experience at the highest level makes him an attractive option.

Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovač is closely following the situation of Axel Disasi, whom he knows well from their time together at AS Monaco. Borussia Dortmund has a realistic chance to sign Disasi only if negotiations between Chelsea and Roma collapse. Currently, Disasi is an interesting but not a priority target for Dortmund, as Roma is the leading contender for the player.

Borussia Dortmund are closely monitoring Axel Disasi’s situation at Chelsea and are exploring the possibility of a permanent transfer rather than a loan. Dortmund view Disasi as a reliable, athletic option capable of being a central part of their defense for many years. It is said that both Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United are seeking to secure a permanent transfer.

According to BILD, Borussia Dortmund have registered their interest in Axel Disasi. Dortmund have identified Disasi as a possible replacement for Nico Schlotterbeck, who is set to depart the Signal Iduna Park on a free transfer next summer. Disasi worked with Dortmund manager Niko Kovac at AS Monaco and BILD state that a reunion could be on the cards in 2026. The Frenchman moved to Chelsea for €45m in 2023, however the Blues would likely accept a far lower fee in order to offload him next year and a move to Dortmund is now a possibility.

Goal.com reports that Borussia Dortmund are interested in acquiring 27-year-old French defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea, highlighting a potential transfer that could be facilitated by his past connection with Dortmund coach Niko Kovac. His contract with the London club is set to expire in June 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €22 million. Several other clubs, including Newcastle United and West Ham United, have also been linked with Disasi.
