Standard Liège have made strengthening the left-back position a priority and are considering the experienced DR Congo international Arthur Masuaku for the role. The 32-year-old has had limited playing time at Sunderland, making just three Premier League appearances this season, since joining the club on a free transfer from Besiktas last summer. Masuaku has been placed on Standard's shortlist and is open to the idea of a move. New contacts are scheduled to take place to discuss the possibility of a winter deal. The defender, who has 42 caps for his country, is under contract until June 2027. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.50m.
