A week ago, Trabzonspor made an inquiry to Real Madrid regarding the potential acquisition of Andriy Lunin, indicating their interest in the 26-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper. Lunin, however, declined the offer, as he preferred to stay at Real Madrid with the ambition of one day succeeding Thibaut Courtois as the primary goalkeeper for the club. Following Lunin's decision to remain in Madrid, Trabzonspor redirected their attention to Manchester United's Andre Onana, and aimed to arrange a loan agreement. Despite initially being interested in Lunin, the Turkish club reached a verbal agreement with Manchester United for Onana, who expressed willingness to make the move. Lunin's contract with the Spanish club extends until 2030, and his market value is assessed by Transfermarkt to be €18.00m. In addition to Trabzonspor, other clubs such as Fenerbahçe and Manchester United have also shown interest in the goalkeeper.
