Portsmouth are exploring a loan move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Andrew Moran at the start of the January transfer window, and contact has been made between the two clubs. The proposed deal for the 22-year-old would be a temporary one for the remainder of the season. Moran has recently returned to England after a loan spell with MLS side Los Angeles FC. The Republic of Ireland international, who has previous Championship experience with Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, is a target for manager John Mousinho. Mousinho wants to add more creativity to his midfield. It is considered unlikely that Moran will have first-team opportunities at Brighton.
