Amadou Haidara Transfer from RB Leipzig to Lens
Foot Mercato reports that Lens is attempting to sign Amadou Haidara. France Football journalist Nabil Djellit reports that the arrival of the RB Leipzig midfielder this winter is probable.
According to La Voix du Nord, RC Lens are considering RB Leipzig's Amadou Haidara. Haidara was pursued by Nice and Paris FC last summer. He is not in RB Leipzig's plans and has had limited playing time in recent months. The management at RC Lens views him as a serious target and a perfect replacement for Hamzat Ojediran. Haidara has a significant salary of around €3 million annually. La Voix du Nord also states that a transfer could happen as early as this winter or in the summer, when Haidara would be out of contract. Haidara is seriously considering the opportunity at RC Lens and would need to make significant financial sacrifices if he joins in December.
RB Leipzig is willing to let 27-year-old Mali international Amadou Haidara leave on a free transfer in the winter to save on his salary before his contract expires in the summer. Haidara has been with the club since January 2019 and has not yet played under Ole Werner this season. He is reportedly one of several players expected to find a new employer in January. According to 'La Voix du Nord', this situation has attracted the interest of RC Lens. The French newspaper also notes that Haidara's salary could be an obstacle to a potential deal. Haidara is valued at €12.00m by Transfermarkt. He has earned 47 caps for Mali, scoring two goals. He has also been linked with other clubs, including Real Sociedad, Nice, Juventus, and Roma.
