Malian international Amadou Haidara is leaving RB Leipzig to join RC Lens in France. Several clubs, including Aston Villa and Naples, recently showed interest in him. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with the Ligue 1 club until June 2029. The transfer fee was €3 million, including bonuses, and the move was facilitated because Haidara was approaching the final six months of his contract at Leipzig. It is reported that he is pleased to be joining Lens and was attracted by the club's project. He is scheduled to arrive after the Africa Cup of Nations. Haidara has 47 caps and 2 goals for Mali.
