Amadou Danté stated that he knew he had to change clubs this summer to get more playing time in a good European league. When his agent, Florian Bader, told him about the interest from Zbrojovka Brno, he decided to listen to them. Danté said the whole club, the sporting director, and the coach did everything to give him confidence and convinced him with their project.

Arouca announced the departure of left-back Amadou Danté to Zbrojovka Brno, the champions of the Czech second division. The 25-year-old spent two seasons with the Portuguese club, playing 17 games in each. Before his time in Portugal, Danté had played for Zurich and Sturm Graz. His 21 caps for the Mali national team were reportedly not enough to convince manager Vasco Seabra.
