Mundo Deportivo reported that Real Betis was close to completing the transfer of Álex Collado to a club in the Qatari league for 2.5 million euros. It was noted that FC Barcelona, which holds a 20% stake in the player's rights, would also gain financially from this transfer. Álex Collado had been signed by Real Betis following the specific recommendation of Ramón Planes, after he spent a year on loan at Elche and six months at Granada. He had joined Betis as a free agent from Barcelona, with his contract extending until 2029.

Álex Collado, after two consecutive loans to Al-Okhdood and Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League, is on the verge of being transferred to a club in Qatar.
